SEC Publisher Overview

 

SEC Publisher 6.0 is a one-stop EDGAR compliance software that allows you to EDGARize documents and file directly to the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) in a single integrated interface. SEC Publisher 6.0 allows you to import any form of document, such as MS Word documents, directly into EDGARized HTML. The ‘HTML (Optimized for MS Word)’ feature allows ‘Optimized MS Word Import’ where you can import MS Word documents directly into SEC Publisher and touch up the document in the editor before validating and filing it. SEC Publisher 6.0 has the ability to handle badly formatted MS Word files as well.

 

Optimized MS Word Importhas a number of benefits including:

1. Preserving structures (paragraphs, tables, etc.) faithfully.
2. Copy and paste from MS Word.
3. Automatic extraction of images, headers and footers.
4. Using MS Word’s powerful word processing functions to create SEC Filings.

 

You can still use the standard ‘HTML (All MS Office formats and PDFs)’ import feature to import MS Word documents, along with other MS Office or PDF documents.

 

 

SEC Publisher 6.0 now comes with a ruler in its HTML Editor. This allows you to change indentations, table margin and column widths by simply dragging the markers on the ruler. Paired with the dotted vertical guideline, you can easily align tables, lists and paragraphs to achieve the perfect layout.

 

The Optimized MS Word Import is also enhanced with new features:

 

• Convert the whole document as a single page.
• Convert lists to tables.
• Convert headers and footers to tables.
• Split tables that span multiple pages.

Since SEC Publisher can process PDF files directly without their source files, you can use SEC Publisher to EDGARize any files that you can convert to PDF. Examples include but are not limited to PageMaker , Frame Maker , QuarkXPress , Crystal Reports , etc. This allows you to EDGARize virtually any file that you come across.
