Why are my dates invalid?


Dates have to be formatted specifically as “yyyy-mm-dd,” where y is year, m is month, and d is day. Date ranges cannot overlap each other (that is, each column has to cover its own range of dates).

For example, this is the top of an income statement:

Each one of these dates is in that specific format. Each of the durations cover separate date ranges as well.  If either of these rules is not followed, you won’t be able to generate XBRL.
