I am getting a timeout error when going to the filing module while running SEC Publisher in a server environment

 

Solutions

  1. Download nvtsmgr.exe by clicking on this link: http://www.novaworkssoftware.com/Files/nvtsmgr.zip
  2. Copy the supplied nvtsmgr.exe to c:\Program Files\BCL Technologies\BCL SECPublisher\gfl\
  3. Open a Command Prompt. Under Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, you’ll need to run it as an administrator, which means Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt, right click “Run as an administrator”. Then go through UAC authorization.
  4. Type this exactly as is:
    • sc create nvtsmgr binpath= "c:\Program Files\BCL Technologies\BCL SECPublisher\gfl\nvtsmgr.exe" DisplayName= "Novaworks Terminal Session Manager" start= auto
  5. It is essential to maintain exact spacing, even if it looks strange (exactly one space after each = sign). Otherwise it won’t work. If it works, you get a cryptic message:
    [SC] CreateService SUCCESS
  6. Type this exactly as is:
    • net start nvtsmgr
