The Submission Ribbon Retrieving Data from the CIK Library

Any user can retrieve data from the File-To-SEC libraries without the use of a password. Data retrieved from a library will be inserted at the correct position in the EDGAR submission. To retrieve data from a library, click in the Retrieve button in the Libraries Toolset of the Submission Ribbon.

The Retrieve CIK function will retrieve filer data from the CIK Library. This data will be entered into the Filer area on the Main Page of the EDGAR submission.

The Retrieve Reporting Owner function will retrieve reporting owner data from the Reporting Owner Library. This option will only be available when the active edit window is an ownership document. The reporting owner data will be inserted into the Reporting Owner(s) Information area of the open ownership document.
